Season’s greetings from Liz, Heidi, Kim and the rest of the Rally Round team! We hope you’re enjoying a wonderful holiday. Nevertheless it’s possible that you’re already suffering a touch of the post-Christmas blues – fed up with turkey, bored with TV and (unless you’re lucky enough to live in the southern hemisphere) staring glumly out of the window at a freezing landscape with many more weeks of wet and chilly weather to come. If that’s the case we have the perfect antidote in the form of Kim Bannister’s Rally Round Africa route recce report, previewing next October’s thrilling regularity (TSD) rally from Dar es Salaam to Cape Town. Driving through Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Swaziland and South Africa with no fewer than five rest days, six wildlife safaris and sumptuous accommodation in top hotels and game lodges, this is one of the most luxurious and exciting events we have yet organized – and what better way to fulfil a New Year’s resolution to have more fun in 2018? Kim’s detailed, 30-page report is now available to read or download on our Rally Round Africa webpage along with the event brochure, which includes regulations and answers to frequently asked questions. Do bear in mind that we are strictly limited to 35 cars and the entry list is already two-thirds full, so if you would like to join us we suggest you act quickly. The rally office will be closed until January 4, but we will respond to emails as soon as possible thereafter. Happy New Year!
