RALLY ROUND AFRICA 2021
8 October – 10 November 2021
A luxury safari adventure through Namibia, Botswana and South Africa
Another wonderful opportunity to explore southern Africa
Join us for another great driving adventure as we once again explore the spectacular landscapes, wildlife and cultures of Southern Africa. Designed by Kim Bannister, our circular route starts and finishes in Cape Town and visits Namibia and Botswana, taking in forests and deserts, coastlines and mountains. As well as enjoying luxurious lodges and world-famous hotels, you will visit charming towns, historic sites, stunning national parks and fabulous wildlife reserves, so you can truly experience the romance of Africa. Indeed October is one of the very best times to visit, with pleasant early-summer temperatures and little rainfall.
As you would expect from Rally Round, this will also be a highly sociable adventure, combining exhilarating drives with leisurely refreshment stops, numerous rest days and plenty of time for sightseeing. We welcome participants of all ages and experience levels, including complete beginners; all you need is a suitably prepared, pre-1975-type car and a friend or partner to share the experience!
The event will be run as a moderately competitive regularity rally, with a touring category for those who prefer not to compete. Our safety record is second to none and there will be no hazardous speeds, night driving, car-breaking terrain or difficult navigation; the entire route will be set out in a comprehensive roadbook and every car will be fitted with a GPS tracker. As ever, we will be accompanied by expert medical and mechanical support staff and we can advise you on everything from crew and car preparation to insurance and shipping.
You’ll find more details including the event regulations in the 2021 Rally Round Africa brochure, which you may download via the link on this page. We are always happy to help, so if you have any questions just get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you – and to seeing you on the start line!
