Rally Round is delighted to announce a thrilling new competition for Summer 2017 – the Paris-Prague Rally.
Following hot on the heels of our groundbreaking Samurai Challenge in Japan, the Paris-Prague Rally (June 11-17) is the latest in our series of week-long European events inspired by the pioneers of early motorsport. Starting from the magnificent Chateau de Chantilly and pausing overnight at Nancy, St Gallen, Cortina D’Ampezzo, Linz and Brno before finishing in Prague’s beautifully romantic Old Town, the 2,249km rally covers six countries in as many days – France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria and the Czech Republic. Designed by renowned Clerk of the Course Fred Bent, the route passes through some truly spectacular scenery, from the Italian Dolomites and the Austrian Tyrol to the fairytale forests of old Bohemia, and includes some of Europe’s greatest driving roads, including the former grand prix circuit at Reims, the Freiburg-Schauinsland Hillclimb, the Stelvio Pass, the Grossglockner High Alpine Road and the old Masaryk road circuit at Brno.
The Paris-Prague Rally is open to all vehicles of a type in production before 1969, and once again the veteran and vintage categories will compete for the Charles Jarrott Trophy. The event is suitable for novices and experienced crews alike, and Rally Round’s highly experienced team will make your participation as easy as possible. You will require a tripmeter and a stopwatch but you do not need competition licences, helmets or fireproof overalls. Routes will be set out in comprehensive tulip roadbooks and there will be no tricky map work, night driving or car-breaking terrain.
We are happy to offer assistance and advice on car preparation, shipping, insurance, rally timing and navigation, and we are always accompanied by fully qualified medical staff and expert mechanical support teams, as well as a luggage transport service. Above all we want you to have fun, and our relaxed schedules will allow plenty of time for socialising with friends old and new.
We will be publishing an event brochure shortly and in the meantime you can find more information on our Paris-Prague web page [click here]. If you have any questions or would like to reserve your place on this
exciting event please contact the Rally Round office – we speak five languages
